Astoria

The Astoria bridge, connecting Oregon and Washington. When my mom was little, they took a ferry across to Astoria.

After we got back to the room, where we found the landlubbers eating breakfast, we loaded everyone up and headed to Astoria Oregon.

Astoria is located at the mouth of the Columbia river, and is a beautiful town. It was actually started in 1811, amazing for a west coast town. It was a hub of fur trading, and then soon a major seaport. Every Sunday, they have a lovely farmers market, with plenty of artists, food and crafts. With all the people and dogs and kids to keep track of, I wasn't able to get many great
pictures, but I did get some.

The Liberty theater is on the corner of the streetmarket.

Princess Ramya insisted on being carried to prevent getting stepped on.

Flowers for sale everywhere! Along with veggies, soap, art....

Cory stocked up on essentials - kettle corn and mini donuts!

Just so happens Lance likes mini donuts too!

We bought some beautiful artwork from local artists, to go along with those donuts, and headed back to the beach for more fun!

Quick stop to buy shovels and buckets.
