The Yarn That Never Ends

It goes on and on my friends.

I was going to blog yesterday, but I was trying to get this yarn finished. That didn't happen, so I figured I'd blog this morning - after I finished the yarn. That didn't happen. It's 11:33, and I just put this blasted yarn away in the yarn cubby after counting it and labeling it.

It all started as an idea to ply a strand of the cormo I'd spun on Easter, with a ply of Merino/silk blend in Concord, beading it at the same time. 2 days, and some aching calves later it's done. Luckily I spin fast, cause otherwise this may have taken me the rest of the year.

Here is the result. I actually started it, didn't like it, but decided to keep going. My thought is this will be really pretty in the right project. The beads are random, no rhyme, reason, or spacing. Since it's you know, 11:00, and there's no natural light left these pictures suck. In reality it's white and dark purple. How much did I end up with? 630 yards. Maybe it'd make a nice shawl.. I need another shawl.

  1. Very pretty yarn. Now, I have that song stuck in my head. I'll have to go sing it to Bootsie.
